DepositProof Privacy Policy

DepositProof: Rental Vault is operated by Zac Batten. This policy explains how the launch version handles rental condition records, photos, videos, addresses, landlord contact details, and app preferences.
Your rental evidence may include private images and address information. DepositProof stores your documentation locally unless you choose to enable backup or sharing features.
Overview
DepositProof is a local-first mobile app for renters who want to organize rental condition documentation. The launch version does not require an account and does not automatically upload rental evidence to cloud storage.
Information You Add
DepositProof may store information you choose to enter or capture, including:
- Property names, addresses, unit numbers, lease dates, deposit notes, and landlord contact details.
- Room names, checklist progress, inspection stages, captions, issue tags, severity labels, and notes.
- Photos, videos, thumbnails, file metadata, recorded timestamps, and export history.
- Display name and local app preferences.
Local Storage
Rental records and media are stored locally on your device in the launch version. DepositProof uses local app storage, app-owned file storage, and SecureStore for selected local settings such as app lock information.
Sharing And Export
DepositProof does not share your rental records automatically. PDF reports, landlord message text, and data exports are created or shared only when you choose those actions. Review exports before sharing because they may include private addresses, photos, videos, notes, and landlord details.
Permissions
DepositProof requests camera and media library access only when you choose to capture or import rental condition media. Microphone access may be requested only when you choose to record video. Location permission is not requested in the launch version.
Analytics, Ads, Purchases, And Tracking
The launch version does not include advertising SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, cloud backup SDKs, account-login SDKs, or in-app purchase SDKs.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual evidence items, delete a property and associated local records, or delete all app data from Settings. Deletion removes local app records and app-owned media where available. Data stored in files you previously exported or shared must be managed wherever you saved or sent those files.
Cloud Backup
Cloud backup is not enabled in the launch version. If backup is added later, this policy and in-app disclosures will be updated before the feature is enabled.
Children
DepositProof is not directed to children. Rental documentation can contain private household information and should be managed by an adult or authorized renter.
